[ Graft Tapestry]
I started this series in 2022 and it’s an ongoing experiment stitching with foraged twigs and creating work inspired by trees and the beautiful branch structures they construct in nature, exploring the rhythm and the order that exists in the natural world. On a technical level the challenge for me is making the overall design both organic at the micro level and geometric at the macro level as well as balancing the negative space that flows around each twig.
