[Fauna Tapestry]
Inspired by flora and fauna in traditional tapestries, I started to create motifs such as birds within larger-scale floral patterns. These works tend to have a folkloric feel stemming from my Moldovan heritage. The larger-scale works are where flowers-on-tulle embroidery comes into its own as an art form, offering scope to tell stories alongside showcasing the beauty of each stem, seedpod or dried flower used. If you would like to discuss whether a piece is available for purchase please get in touch. All works come framed, see examples.
